I hope you're having a great day! I never seem to have enough time to do everything I'd like to do. Maybe if I stopped playing around making things I'd get it all done! LOL! Like that's ever going to happen!

Today I'm playing along at Word Art Wednesdayhttps://wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/ with this pretty card made with Waffle Flower supplies!

This card starts with a Butterfly Background stencil in three shades of Distress Ink. This time I did the blending vertically vs. the usual horizontal.

Next I added the Elongated Oval die cut. I thought it would make a great shaker. This is a three part die so you will want to tape it together on the reverse so it doesn't fall apart!

The shaker center makes the perfect focal point for a great big Get Well sentiment with a label maker type subsentiment.

Pick of the Patch

Fall is in the air ! The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting cooler! It's my favorite time of year because I can shut off the air conditioner, open the windows and I feel more comfortable walking and spending time outdoors.

I love a card that features a scene and this one came together quick with lots of new goodies from the latest Pink & Main release. The Pumpkin Patch Cuties set has lots of cute critters including a racoon, fox, bear, porcupine and bunny. They're easy to color with your favorite media and they're just adorable!

I made the background scene with new pattern paper from the Hello Fall paper pad. I added curvy landscape lines with the Waves and Scallops border set. The sun is made with stacked pattern paper circles cut with the a Zig Zag and Stitched Circles.

The stamp set even includes a few sweet sentiments perfect for finishing off your design. I added a sprinkle of falling leaves and a few Gold Sticky Gems for a little more color and shine!

I don't know about you, but this one has me longing for a trip to the pumpkin patch! It won't be long now! Have a great day!

Hip Hooray It's Your Birthday!

Today I'm playing along at A Cut Above. If you love die cuts, this is the place for you! This time it's anything goes so there's no excuse to play.

This fun shaker card came together quick! I started with a white background of zig zag borders from the Stacked Edges 1 set. The pieces fit together like puzzle pieces for a nice flat panel.

I made a shaker card using the Fancy Cake die set from Pretty Pink Posh. I cut lots of confetti using up lots of colorful scraps, added them to the top of the assembled background and then topped that with a piece of clear acrylic and the frame from the set.

On top of the clear shaker plastic I added a white Scallop Circle to create a focal point for the fun cake and stand. Even the Hip Hooray sentiment is included in the cake die set.

You Complete Me Abstract Design

Are you ready for the weekend? I know I am! I don't have any plans but there's lots of things left to do! I feel Summer slipping away and want to soak up all the rays I can while it lasts!

Today I'm playing along at Cut it Up Challenge where it's Anything Goes! My favorite is always die cuts and if you know me, you know I love lots of bold color! I'm bringing my two favorites together on this abstract design.

I started with a clean white textured background made with the Quilting Textured Plate from Waffle Flower. Then I cut lots of shapes with the Abstract Shapes die.

I had fun arranging the pieces on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card base. I added borders along the top and bottom and then filled in the center. I love how this clean graphic design worked out.

Wishing You A Spooky Halloween

If you love Halloween and stencils are your favorite then you will be very happy to know that Pretty Pink Posh has FOUR new stencil designs in this release! Today I’m sharing a card made with the new Layered Halloween Wreath 3 layer set and linking up  to Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge where it's always HALLOWEEN! 

I wanted to add lots of color to my design. To keep the stencil as clean as possible to avoid mixing colors I used small cosmetic brushes and sticky notes to mask off different areas of the design.

After I had the stenciled design complete I couldn’t bear to cut it down too much so I trimmed it to a 5” square for my card. The circular design of the wreath made it ideal for the stacked Eyelet Circles to create a focal point for the design.

I topped the Eyelet Circles with an image from the Halloween Corners stamp set that I colored with alcohol markers. The sentiment is from the Sentiment Strips: Halloween stamp set.

I think this stenciled design is prettier than patterned paper and the best part is that I made it myself! It’s like magic watching the design appear and I can’t wait to mail this one to someone special!
