A Gift For You

Did you know that the number one occasion for sending a greeting card is for birthdays? I guess that explains why I could always use a few more! If you could too I hope you'll check out all the newest birthday additions to the shop!

The new "A Gift For You" stamp set has three of the cutest little critters ever! The set also includes a whole bunch of sentiments too! I couldn't resist using all three of the characters on my card today!

The background was created by blending pastel Distress Inks in rainbow colors. I used the Deco stencil to add some "frosting" - a glittery white texture paste to make this one sparkle for the occasion!

I wanted my card to be extra sparkly so I added a Foilable Birthday Sentiment and a few Starlight Gems! I wish you could see the shine on this card in person!

This card is sure to make the recipient smile! I hope you find some time to make today!

Today I'm sharing a card made with a new awesome release from Pretty Little Studio called GOOD VIBRATIONS! This collection is an eclectic mix of funky hand drawn designs that contrast well with the straight lined graph paper and dot patterns.

The colors? They're a bright colorful rainbow mix with a pop of black for contrast. The fonts have a 70's feel that are the perfect fix for my nostalgic heart, and look fresh all over again! 

But the very best part of this collection for me is the positivity in all the sentiments. The cards I make with this collection will remind the recipient that the sky is the limit!

I stacked some frames to create a focal point for my sentiment and embellished it with stars to repeat the star pattern peeking through them.

Sweets for the Gardener!

This one is for all the gardeners out there! I love the clever Big Easter Cupcake from Pretty Pink Posh. This die set includes one big cupcake and LOTS of accessories. You can turn this cupcake into a chick or bunny, and decorate it with eggs, flowers, or carrots like my card!

I can't wait to get my hands dirty and start planting! I translated this fun cupcake into a garden design. The chocolate frosting is the "soil" for the carrots.

The sentiment is a simple "hi" that's cut into a garden stake - both are included in the set! I tucked some grass and flowers around the carrots to make it extra yummy.

The background is a simple stack of hex borders from the Stacked Edges 2 set. I love these borders because they fit together like puzzle pieces giving you a clean flat, textured background for your designs.

I'm linking up to My Time To Craft where this time it's "everything dies" - and YES! This card was made entirely from die cuts! WHOOO HOOO! Easy peasy for me! LOL!I hope you have a great day and some time to make it all!

Tropical Hello

I don't know about you but lately I've been daydreaming about a getaway. Maybe it's from being cooped in the house all winter, but I'm definitely craving a change of scenery.

That's the best part about crafting.. I can go wherever my imagination takes me. Today I'm off to a tropical paradise with the Waffle Flower Tropical Kit Die!

I love this fun bird. The dies allow you to cut the different parts separately so you can add lots of color. There's even a few bits of foliage so you can perch the bird on a branch and add a few flowers too!

The background is called Pop Up Leaves Tropical Die - it's an A2 panel that coordinates with the Duo Tone Tropical Leaves Stencil. I inked the images with the stencil but then added some dots with markers to add even more color to the design.

A Nesting Stitched Oval creates a focal point for the tropical bird and the Tropical Sentiment inked in fuchsia is another great way to add more color.

I hope you're having a great day! I've been so busy lately! I've been having some stomach issues. My doctor thought I might have a hernia, so I've had some blood tests, and a CT scan. No hernia, perhaps a pulled muscle? The labs revealed some vitamin deficiencies / anemia - so I'm going to try to take better care of myself than I have in the past.

I'm always happy to sneak off to my craft room and make! My cards always start the same way. I cut and arranged die cuts from the Pretty Pink Posh Spring Mug Additions and arranged them on a piece of clear plastic the same size as my card base.

The plastic makes it easy to slip different papers underneath so I could have a sneak peek before I commit I loved how this one turned out. I started by inking a white panel of paper with Distress Ink in Saltwater Taffy and Dried Marigold. To add some texture I cut it with the Pierced Leafy Vine. A few of the hexagons in the die set add the perfect accents in coordinating colors.

I love the cute little bees too! There are three different ones in this set. An Eyelet Circle makes a sweet doily or is it a saucer for that cup? You decide!
