Dotted Floral Thanks

Hi Friends! Today I'm playing along at Die Cut Divas where the challenge this time is FLOWERS! It's getting close to the close date so if you're playing along you better hurry!

I love flowers and I love die cuts so you know I'm IN! These are the Dotted Flowers from Waffle Flower! They're actually designed to be stitched, but I think they look great as is. I like the little dots and the color peeking through.

To save time I die cut a bunch of yellow circles with the Outlined Circles die. It was easy to glue them to the backs of the flowers to complete them.

The background is a panel of yellow ombre cardstock strips that I topped with a Dotted Radiating Circle.

The finishing touch is a simple die cut sentiment and a few enamel dots. I love the clean finished look of the design.

Faith

The year is quickly winding down to a close. It's been a tough one for lots of us. I wanted to remind you to keep looking forward, to have faith and to let you know that you're not alone.

I'm playing with Waffle Flower's Candlelight die set that I embellished with some flowers and foliage from the Little Branches die set.

To keep the candlesticks from "floating off the page I "grounded" them with a piece of cardstock cut at an angle to look like the surface of a table.

Colorful circles help the candle flame "glow". I stamped the sentiment from "Faith" over the assembled dies for a clean design.

Folk Art Christmas

Merry Christmas! I hope you've been very good and you madethe nice list! I hope Santa left you a new die cut machine or some crafty supplies under the tree. My DH never knows what to get me so I get free reign to go shopping. I'll be watching for some after Christmas sales so I can get even more! LOL!

I've been rediscovering my stencils now that I've gotten my hands on the Waffle Flower Grip Mat. It holds my paper and stencil in place so I can be hands free and ink. I've been getting great results and am happy to share my opinion.

This card features the Waffle Flower Folk Art Frame stencil that I inked on some Rustic Cream paper. It's got little fiber flecks that make the paper look more handmade.

The center of the stencil design is plain so I added somedie cut florals and a great big Oversized Merry Christmas to the design. The card is really flat and vary mailable.

I love the color and clean lines I achieved - it remindes me of a colorful letterpress print.

You've Got Holiday Mail!

Happy Christmas Eve! I just wanted to wish you aall a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday! I've saved some of the best for last. This is the Postage Collage Christmas from Waffle Flower.

I haven't been a big stencil fan until recently when I started playing with the Waffle Flower Craft Matt. It's a jelly mat that holds your paper and stencil in place while you ink. I had been using Pixie Spray light tack adhesive which is great for single layer stencils, but it becomes problematic when layering stencils because it leaves a slight residue behind thatgetsinked and looks messy to me.

The Postage Collage series has really become popular and I've got good news.. new sizes for different card bases will be available in January!

You don't have to add as many colors of ink to achieve a great design. I did because I can't resist a rainbow of color, and I wanted to get some practice in using the small detail brushes.

I used the coordinating Postage Collage Coloring Stencil for the blue and red "airmail" background and to add some subtle shading to the stamps.

This angle shot really shows how flat and mailable this card really is!

Colorful Christmas Presents

Today I'm playing along at Crazy is our Fame Stencils are our Game. The optional theme this time is CHRISTMAS! Christmas to me always means bright colorful lights, fancy wrappings and big bows!

I started by stencil inking and then die cutting the Multiple Presents. The set includes both the die and the stencil and they cut all the presents at the same time!

Next I created a panel of windows using the Window Trio 1. It cuts three squares at one time. I taped the die in place to create a panel with six windows.

I added square inlays to coordinate with the present colors. I trimmed the panel so I could layer it over a bigger background.

The bigger background I decided on was a panel made up of Skinny Strips. It's easy to cut a bunch at one time with the Skinny Strips die. I keep all of my extras in a folder for future projects.
