Pretty Little Studio - Hopscotch Mini Vintage Die Cuts

Have you seen the new Vintage Mini Die Cut Packs in the store? If you're a card maker like me then you're going to flip over these printed die cut images. There are several different packs to choose from each featuring a different theme. Today I'm sharing cards made with the Hopscotch pack.

Look at all the great die cuts you get in one package! 

I paired the die cuts with papers from the Sunny Memories Collection. I like the 8" and 4x6" packs because my typical card size is 4.25 x 5.5" and the cover card panel is always 4" wide. The colors are perfect for Spring projects.

Journaling cards make a great focal point for your card. This one is from the This is Fun 3x4 Pack. The sentiment is a Rainbow Notes label topped with a circle sentiment from the Sunny Mix die cut pack.

Say It In Color sticker sentiments and sequins make the perfect finishing touches to your designs.

I used the packaging from a die cut pack in lieu of a journaling card here. I love that the packaging is user friendly so nothing goes to waste. The tags are from the Bright & Happy pack and make a fun background for the little bunny! 

You'll have lots of fun making with these sweet die cuts! Mixing them with different collections will give you endless possibilities!

12 Kits of Occasions - Party In The Park!

It's the last day of the month and you know what that means right? It's time for The 12 Kits of Occasions! The 12 Kits of Occasions is a group of 12 friends who all love to paper craft. Every month we take turns making a kit for the rest of the group. We all receive the same kit with the same items. On the last day of the month we reveal what we each made with the kit. It's fun to see how we used the product in different ways. Sometimes the projects are similar and sometimes they are very different.

Momenta Flower with Leaves

Hello my crafty friends! I hope you're having a great day! The sun has been coming up earlier and earlier - another sign of spring! No more waking up in the dark! That is reason alone to celebrate right? 

Today I'm playing with the Momenta Flower with Leaves. This is a two piece die set that you can find at your local craft stores like Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Joann. If you like to shop on line like me (Yep, I'm lazy like that!) you can find it here at Scrapbook.com on sale for $12.02!!

I created an ombre cardstock panel by taping the strips of colored card stock together. I trimmed the panel to fit the front of my card base and then die cut the two floral dies from the panel. TIP: Make sure your tape runs the entire length of each strip of colored card stock!

I adhered colored card stock behind the open die cut windows and then attached it to my card base. All that was left to do was cut the dies a second time from white card stock and glue the die cuts into the open windows.

This is a simple technique that provides lots of drama and wow! I sure hope you'll give color blocking a try some time. It's one of my favorite techniques with die cuts!

The Card Concept - Tropical Birthday

Can you believe it's Monday again? Since it's the beginning of the year I've been getting my house in order.. you know going for all my annual check ups, and trying to get a little more organized. DH had to run out to work yesterday - unusual for a weekend so I got a little time to play.

Today I'm joining The Card Concept with this cute challenge. Isn't this little smiling pineapple cake adorable? I was inspired by the striped background, colorful decorations that remind me of flowers and of course that adorable pineapple. I think we all have a pineapple stamp in our stash somewhere so I hope you play along too!

I started with the Reverse Confetti Pineapples Aplenty surrounded by the Garden Bunch Flowers and Love Blooms Foliage.

I chose the Striped Frame to mimic the striped background on the inspiration photo. I added adhesive foam to the back of the center square so it's lifted from the flat card base. 

The sentiment from Birthday Wishes is stamped directly on the raised panel. I had to do this twice.. the first time I didn't stamp it close enough to the top and my flowers were falling off the bottom of the card.

The Garden Bunch flowers are my favorite florals from Reverse Confetti. They'reeasy to stamp and look fussy.
